Think The Dead Boys and The MC5 really drunk on corn liquor, sitting around listening to VU and T. Rex albums, arguing over nothing in particular while trying to decide whether it's worth it to get off the couch and try to write some new material. Then deciding it's probably not, but playing a really loud and self-indulgent show every once in a while anyway.
